Could use some help.

I am looking for the lower control arm u-bolts and axle u-bolts to mount the rear end. The parts stores here in Cincinnati do not seem to carry these.... because there computer doesn't list them the do not have them.

Anyone in the Cincinnati, Middletown area know were I can pick these up? I have tried Napa, Savage, Autozone, Advanced Autoparts.

Thanks

Re: Could use some help.

Any quality spring or alignment shop will have the ability to make the u-bolts. Try truck shops too.

Re: Could use some help.

Any parts store that has a "help" section should have the front u-bolts for control arms, were also still a GM part a couple of years ago- they are larger in diameter because of some breakage issues expect to pay 5-8 bucks each. The rears check with a spring shop or some of the larger scale venders on here. Also try teeitup as he may have some out already and he will do you right.

Re: Could use some help.

I just purchased the front and rear in the last couple weeks. you need this a for the front(napa part BK 6504065) and I went to a local spring shop for the rears, http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=384759 but it depends if you are going to add blocks. 3/4"x3.5"x8" for stock.

Re: Could use some help.

Thanks everyone. So the newer lower control arm U-bolts are a larger diam. than the factory? What about center to center. I may just measure the ones I have and see if Mcmaster carr or grainger has them also.
Big help guys.

Thanks again

They are the same dimensions, just made out of larger diameter stock. They are actually the ones used in the 73 up trucks. You may have to drill out the holes in the cross member just a little to get the larger bolts in. I had to drill out about half of the holes in mine. You can probably find them local if you look for the ones for 73-87 trucks.
