power/non power locks

Will the door locks on a manual lock door work on a door with power locks?

I bought 89 Blazer PW/PL doors but they did not come with any keys, I want to take the locks out of my NON power lock equipped doors and use them in the Blazer doors (since I have keys for them).

I took the lock cylinders off my '77 non-power and put them in my '86 powered with no problem.

Neat story here:

The '77 was my father's (now deceased) truck, so it had some sentimental value to it. When the truck finally died (body rusted to nothing) I replaced it with the '86. The lock cylinders on the '86 did not operate properly. So now with the lock cylinder swap, I can still use my Dad's door keys on my new truck.

Anyway, sorry for getting all sentimental, but sometimes it's the little things that make something special.

So, bottom line - it should work for you.

Jeff I would think so, but you might need the rod that leads up to the actual knob, I think power locks have a shorter rod.

I would like to know the opposite. Does power locks, work on a door with manual locks? I need to convert to power locks and want to know if I can use stock, lock actuators or do i need aftermarket?

I am assuming you are talking about the lock cylinder mounted in the door. If that is the case, they are all the same.
