For Sale: Power Assisted Steering
I'm saving up for paint so I'm selling leftover parts from my '66 restoration project.
OK guys, here's everything you need to add factory power steering to your 1963 - 66 Chevy or GMC truck, suburban or panel. I pulled these parts off of my '66 C20 Custom Camper when I upgraded to a hydraulic gear box & disc brakes. They will work on a C10 as well. This kit includes all used parts. I've only cleaned them up - you'll have to have the hydraulic parts rebuilt and the hoses repaired or replaced. What I'm selling is all the parts involved with installing factory power steering in our trucks. The hard to find brackets and all hose parts, cylinder or ram, cyliner to frame bracket, gear box, pitman arm, center link, hydraulic actuator valve, banjo style power steering pump with pulley & brackets for a V8, tie rod sleeves & Idler arm. $300.00 OBO

Re: For Sale: Power Assisted Steering
Might be interested, what engine was in the truck these came from?
Also need a price. Thanks. Scott

Re: For Sale: Power Assisted Steering
I'm sorry I didn't specify - small block V8.
I believe my truck originally came with a 327. When I bought in 1994, the previous owner had installed a gutless 307 in it. Since then I've had 3 other engines in that truck, a 70's vintage 350, a "mutt 327" and the current engine a late model 5.7L (or "metric" 350) with the center bolt valve covers. The original factory p/s pump has bolted up to all but one - the 5.7L that's in there now. The brackets bolt right up to that block too but the original harmonic balancer for that motor gets in the way of the pump body. I guess if a guy were to find a smaller harmonic balancer to fit the 5.7L engine he could make it work. I'm looking to get somewhere in the vacinity of $300.00 for the set up.

I. All for sale or trade ads must include the price. If you do not know the price of the item(s) you are selling, then you should do some research. Absolutely no auctions or bids.
III.All sales must be posted in thread, a reply stating who is in line is also suggested. Accepting sales via Private Messages will result in confusion within the thread and is strictly prohibited Last edited by powerdriver 1958; 02-22-2010 at 02:58 AM. |
