71 Project truck for sale - Gen III & 4L60E
I have a project truck I HATE to get rid of. I have been acquiring parts and getting ready to begin the restoration for nearly a year, but family obligations and finances have forced me to do so.
It is a very nice non a/c 71 c-10 that has the usual cancer (Rockers, cab corners, doors), but I have a nice set of spare front fenders and spare doors. I have a set of POL rear disc brakes, Oak wood bed kit (not installed) and a ton a extra parts for the cab and under the hood. The truck currently does not have a motor or trans installed in it. However, I have an complete 2004 Chevrolet silverado rolling chassis with a 5.3L V8 and 4L60E setup with only 47,000 miles. The rolling chassis has everything... wiring, fuel tank, drive shaft, rear end, front suspension, rack and pinion steering, etc etc etc. I also have all the brackets and mounts for the LS swap. Motor mounts, motor perches, and trans crossmember. Again, I absolutely hate to get rid of this, but I think it is time. As you can imagine, I have way more money in this than I can ever get out of it, but I do think the combination is worth every penny of $6,000. ( I'm pretty firm on that) If you have any questions, please let me know. I will try to post pics tomorrow of both the c-10 and the 2004 silverado. Thanks... and please know I post this with much regret!! Last edited by smokinstang70; 02-21-2010 at 07:47 PM. |

Is the bedwood kit for sale seperately? Please put me in line. Is it a short bed fleetside or stepside?

Re: 71 Project truck for sale - Gen III & 4L60E
Sorry.. forgot the details
71 shortbed, was driven back and forth to work everyday until about 3 months ago when I sold the motor and trans. I would rather not separate any of it, unless a group wanted to get together to buy it all. I need it all gone at the same time. Thanks |

sorry you have to sell. Seems like Meathead wants the 2004. How much would you want for the 71 and related parts? I'm not in a position to buy right now but you might sell both that way...
