help with alternator clearance requesting motor pics 67 327
ive got a 71 gmc originally 307.i was wondering if anybody else is having issues with this. The motor thats in my truck is a 327 from a chevrolet impala. its got stock heads. stock 62 amp alternator (mounts on drivers side), headers, aftermarket lower alt. mount and it sucks. the mount lines up with the pulleys but i cant mount the alternator right because the edelbrock valve covers are too tall. I cant get the alt far enough cause the valve covers are in the way. I run these valve covers because im using edelbrock performer roller rockers that require taller covers. it may sound confusing but il try and get you pics tonight. its a really frustrating situation can i see some pics of a 1967 327 stock heads with headers, roller rockers, and how u mount the alt. thanks

Don't know if this will help or not. agcbrackets.com sell, and makes brackets, and sells pullys. He will need to know what kind of headers you have, and alot more info. I have tall valve valve covers, but a stock intake manifold. Also ramhorn exhaust.

Re: help with alternator clearance requesting motor pics 67 327
Here is a pic of my 65 Impala with the 327 alternator bracket setup it, (same as trucks). The longer adjustment brackets will give a lot of clearance for the manifold mounted alternator as was standard on the 67 327 trucks, (and cars like mine).
