Re: Caliper Differences
IIRC, its the banjo fittings on the front hoses that were different. With the different fittings, the calipers were machined different for the brake hose....crazyAL

Re: Caliper Differences
So will a 72 work with a 71 hose?
"Update" The hoses are the same part numbers, so lets try it and see if it works.... Smitty

Re: Caliper Differences
I had a 71, that I replaced the caliper on.....also had to upgrade the hose to make it fit. Now if you look at the build date on the truck....after the 8th? month , that 71 was actually a 72. One had a square lookin banjo, & 1 was round. Which was which, was too long ago for this old man to remember I am running 75 pcs on my old truck. hope that helps, crazyAL Or maybe Napa sold me a 73 on caliper, for my 71, as the older ones were not available, & that required the brake hose to go with it?

Re: Caliper Differences
i've never understood why the '71 has a different hard line kit than the '72. Shouldn't the hardlines be the same routing? I've never seen 71 or 72 hardlines, I just know they are different part numbers in the catalogs...
