Need Help from WA. board members.
Made a deal over the phone last night. Agreed to pay sellers asking price. Was first caller (truck had been advertised for 11 days) and was told "yes we have a deal". Asked if he had paypal and said he'd have to ask his wife and would call me tonight. Never got the call, so I called and the cell phone is shut off. Maybe I'm paranoid and I'll get a call tomorrow. But this isn't the first time I've "had a deal" that never ended up happening.
Are there any reasonable and trustworthy buying services in the Seattle area that I could wire the money to and they'd get the title and maybe even take possession of the truck til it shipped? I've never bought a truck without looking at it first and when I've taken the plunge and tried it fell through. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions? Thanks. |

Most shipping services will offer that service. No payment without title in hand, etc.
Typical shipping estimates will range from 650 to 1000 from Northwest to Colorado or New Mexico. I shipped one from Idaho to Colorado and it ran $650 bucks. Good Luck

I don't know if it's in your budget, but you could try to get a cheap flight and make a weekend out of it. Fly up, check out the truck, do the deal, take it to a shipper on Monday AM and fly home.
Just me, but I wouldn't buy vehicle sight unseen. There are too many things that pictures and seller descriptions don't show or tell. Unless you're already planning for a complete basket case to restore.
