Stepside to Fleetside
I have recently switched from stepside to fleetside bed. I just got truck back from paint. Most of work was done by a couple of fellow members. Also relocated tank, waiting to have truck bedlined.

Wow!
Beautiful truck. Just curious,... why the switch? (even though I like the fleetside better)

Re: Stepside to Fleetside
i personally preferr the stepside, but the dead straight lines covered in sexy black makes that fleet side work awesome... possibly even better than the step.

I like fllets better, but this was one of those steppers that I loved. Either way it's a sweet black truck.

Re: Stepside to Fleetside
I switched partly because I got a good deal from a guy who wanted a stepside, and I like fleetside "look" much better. And finally my buddy kept giving me crap about my "styleside" Just kidding. We were relocating my tank so I figured if I was ever going to switch now is the time. I aslo wanted a bed cover but was hard to find for stepside. Will post interior picts soon. But really nothing special.

Re: Stepside to Fleetside
16 gauge sheet metal for floor. I probably should have used 18 or 20 gauge.

Re: Stepside to Fleetside
You would have went lighter? I've considered doing something like that, but I was contemplating 1/4" or 3/16". I guess it depends on usage, I use mine as a truck and it's a 3/4 longbed. I like it both ways but am partial to the swb.

Wow... what a transformation; and that black color looks amazing, not a blemish.

Re: Stepside to Fleetside
Killer ride either way, but I personally loved it as a step although I'm more of a fleet guy.

Re: Stepside to Fleetside
Beautiful truck! It looked good either way, but looks even better now
I'm going to be "switching" my truck too. I've always wanted a fleetside truck and I really want to run the 67/68 CST side trim, which you can't do with a stepside.
