DJM 3"/5" drop kit from Stylin' Trucks
Have any of you ever used this DJM 3"/5" kit from Stylin' Trucks? I am looking to drop the " Brown Hornet " but on an economical level. I have a feeling if I went the 2.5 /4 route that I would want it dropped even more. Here is the linky:
http://www.stylintrucks.com/part.asp...&partid=559736 Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. I know this has been covered before but, I would like to get some additional input before I see if the wife will let me spend the money. Thanks, Mike

Do it! In my mind that is the kit for these trucks. If you decide to go lower, you don't waste anything.

Thanks N2TRUX. Do I need to run a c-notch as well? Many people, many different opinions.

I don't think you have to. I "do" think I would. Do it once and be done with it...

Careful when ordering that it will fit your truck. Some of these ads are for the 1" thickness rotors and may be a little less money. Check your rotor size before ordering. The kit does show it comes with rear shock mount extentions which is a plus.

Dang it! I have been contemplating my drop next, and have been kind of looking around at what I want. I am like you. On the fence about the 2.5/4 vs 3/5. Now seeing the good deal on that kit I think I may have to order that. Thanks man!

Re: DJM 3"/5" drop kit from Stylin' Trucks
That's the same kit I used on my truck and my buddys blue truck. We cut a coil off of the original springs to lower a little more.

Re: DJM 3"/5" drop kit from Stylin' Trucks
I used a 3/5 on my 77 and you'll definetly need to go at least an inch lower in the front to even it out or more depending on your opinion. I didn't run a c-notch and if you do any kind of haulin then you'll need to, mine is basically on the bump stops it makes for a rougher ride. If I did it all over again I would just do a 3/4 everyone says "ah you'll want to go lower". No thanks I love my 3/4 drop on my 73. I'm sticking to my guns, lol. A 4/5 or 4.5/5 would be perfect.

Re: DJM 3"/5" drop kit from Stylin' Trucks
I was thinking about running these 18" from Tire Rack. Has anyone ever used these or seen these on a truck before?
