my turn 68 step
well i been on here for a while just looking and learning. started this project in 2001 when i drove the truck in the garage. man time flies. anyway started working on it again but i don't have any picks of before but the cab was junk and had to get a new on the stepside bed is in great shape. here are a few pics so far. i will upload some more this weekend and throw in a couple of pics of the rest of the family rides

now it time to tear down the passenger side and install new upper and lower control arm shafts and bushings upper and lower ball joints inner and outer tie rod e-------- well you get the picture.

the motor was totally rebuilt about 5 years ago then wrapped in plastic and set in the corner. 355 small block with hyperutectic teflon skirted pistons new cam and fresh paint job (five years ago)

well a little bit of progress upper and lower arms blasted and painted along with lowered spring and finished up the intake now need more money and time
so i will keep on painting the frame till i get the upper and lower control arm shafts and ball joint oh yeah and inner and outer man the list goes on....................and on......................will post more when i get more done |

Just curious, you ever turn that motor over while it was sitting, release some pressure on the valve springs... ?

Looks to be coming along well. I know how it is with your project sitting, mine sat from 99-09. It's worth it when you get it back on the road. Looks like you're leaving it in the I-6 mounts, are you gonna run a manual or auto behind it? I only ask cause I noticed the mount on the frame for the clutch linkage. My truck also has a small block in the I-6 mounts and I'm running a granny four speed behind it, but I'm looking to swap in a 6 speed. Good to see progress, now keep the pics coming!

the the lifters and pushrods werent in untill the other day but sprayed the motor once a week with wd-40 breeh regular silica sand (blasting sand from the lumber yard) the paint on the frame is rustoleum hammered grey the intake and heads are hammered silver jacfourteen the motor mounts have been welded in by po and the small block was in it when i bought it with th 350 |

i picked up a 69 camaro gas tank yesterday with the filler going out the license plate maybe this weekend i will see how it will work

well it has been a while but here are some more pics the front is done now to the rear oh yeah the pin in the old carrier had play so we had to cut it out thats the next problem to finish
