I already bought the 245/40/20s for the front but i would like to put a little bit wider tire in the rear my rims are 11.5" wide. any suggestions or pictures you guys can help me with?

Re: wider then 295-40-20??

I ran a 325/50/15 on my stepside and there was definitely enough room for something bigger. I think a 335 would fit, but the backspacing needs to be perfect. I am now running a 295/35/18 and plan on going up to a 305/30 or 315/30 once I run through the 295s.

Re: wider then 295-40-20??

Yepper, they will fit perfectly. I had them on a 10.5" wheel on my previous '86 with a flip kit and they gave me no issue at all. They should be even happier on an 11.5" wheel as that is the optimum width for that size tire.

Tell your lady that some of the truck guys are making fun of your itty bitty tires, and that size does matter! She will agree .

Put some pics up when you get them installed.

I run a 315/35/20 on a 12" wheel..
Nitto now make a 315 in a drag radial also.
Do a search on 315/35/20 on the site.

Re: wider then 295-40-20??

I had 255/35r20's on mine when I had this combo. Almost exactly the same height as the tire you are gonna be running. You may have to drop it some more

Re: wider then 295-40-20??

im going to mount my 245/40/20s in the front and look for a good priced 315/35/20 for the rear, i only have 3" belltech spindles in the front so i was going to cut a coil off the front and the rear i want to remove a couple leafs to bring it down some more.
