Gas Tanks Problem

Before I put my truck in storage last year I was having problems with the gas tanks. In the begining of the summer my left gas tank would not work to well. Then I switched the tank over towards the end of the season to see if it would work and it worked fine and when I went to go switch it back to the right tank, the right tank started to spudder but the left tank worked fine. Would it be my switch or something like the sending unit?

Re: Gas Tanks Problem

try a new switch first. that will be cheap.

if its not the switch then its the sending unit.

what exactly do you mean by spudder??

was the engine crapping out like it was deprived of fuel?

The truck will idle fine but when you start to go it does not have any power and just spudders and back fires.

Re: Gas Tanks Problem

id think if the switch is ok id be looking at the crossover valve as opposed to the sending units in the tanks

Re: Gas Tanks Problem

Thank you for the help. I am going to try the switch and if that does not work i am going to look at the other possibilities. Thanks
