Five lugs, front discs are not stock and the side markers on the bed aren't stock for 67 either. Very nice truck and nice upgrades.

Re: Need some pointers on this 67
GMC trucks were usually equipped with leafs out back.
the 5 lug rear, and 5 lug with disks up front were swapped from a later truck. Yours should be 6 lug 4 wheel drum. your bed has been swapped out since there are side markers back there, that came out in 68. Welcome to the board from central Ohio. |

Re: Need some pointers on this 67
First off, WELCOME!
Couldn't tell ya what its worth but it looks nice! The 5 lug is not factory. Factory for a 67 is 6 lug and no disc brakes up front. The truck could have come with leaf springs or coil springs from the factory. Just depends. The bed isn't a 67 bed...hence the side marker lights.

Re: Need some pointers on this 67
All this info is helping me out on this...i order the boss 338 wheels for it and then found this site and was reading about the problems that they have with the wheels not fitting so hope fully they do, if so i will post pictures of the truck with the wheels on it. Anyone have a rough ideal of what it might even be worth ?

& from Ohio. Nice looking GMC. Value is really hard to estimate. I look at it this way...if your happy then that's what counts.

Re: Need some pointers on this 67
I can only tell you ASKING prices out here in California...which are probably quite a bit different than the Midwest. Out here, in the Central Valley (Bakersfield, Visalia, Fresno) I would not be surprised to see that truck listed as low as $5500. Down here in the Metro L.A. area that could easily be as high as $9-10,000 or more with the newer paint and the upgrades you describe. But of course, "Asking" and "Getting" are two different things.

Re: Need some pointers on this 67
I'd say its worth about $100 bucks, I'll send you a paypal payment for $150 just to be a good guy and pick her up tomorrow lol.
Nice truck! Its hard to put a price on it without sitting in front of it, hearing it run, driving it, checking for body rot, seeing what is and isn't original etc. I'd slap those wheels on it, and enjoy it for a while before gearing up to sell it.

Re: Need some pointers on this 67
Check out the vin decoder on here, that can tell you alot about the truck as well, and if you can post the SPID on the inside of the glove box. Also I could be wrong and did some quick searchs that came up empty but I dont think a sliding rear window was avaliable in 67 was it?

Re: Need some pointers on this 67
Judging from the bed I would wonder if the frame had been shortened

Re: Need some pointers on this 67
also its got a big back window, to tell the truth you might want to run the vin and make sure it is actually a true 67, side markers in the rear and a big back window indicate a 68 and up GMC, with a replaced front end. great looking truck though!!

Re: Need some pointers on this 67
There is also a vin # stamped on the top of the frame on the drivers side right by the powersteering/a-arm. It should match your cab vin.
With these trucks, a lot of its speculation but some can be determined like everyone is commenting. They have had 40 years to be pieced together. Most of us on here have puzzles so don't feel to bad. Thats the great thing about these trucks is that so many parts can interchange. Who knows, that rear slider doesn't look original to me, so maybe the back window go broke out and they put a slider in then. That kind of stuff can be swapped and changed somewhere along the way since 67. Its not a stock one, but thats not why you bought it either. I would make it look how you like it and enjoy it. They are fun trucks! It wouldn't take much to make it look like a 67...get a solid back window and fill those back marker lights. Visually no one would say you had a 68 then. Everyone would just be saying "Sweet 67!". Which it is! Also, as you read around here you will see that a lot of GMC's came with leaf rears. I could be wrong, but if you plan on bagging it, trailing arms might be something you should start looking for. I am not really sure why jbristo67 suggested that he thinks the bed had been cut...? Good luck and keep us all posted...believe me, we are all fans of pictures! Maybe when you get those 338's mounted!

Re: Need some pointers on this 67
Because it had a mismatched bed on it. When I went to look at the truck to buy it the first thing I would have done when I saw that is climb under the truck. Wasn't saying anything bad about the truck just that I thought that it could have been shortend with a later model bed on it

Re: Need some pointers on this 67
good looking truck the 5 lug and disc is not original, but in my book was a great upgrade that will only help the value, also i like thats its a gmc you dont see as many of them fixed up with the dual headlamps and gmc grille. all together nice truck as it sits in that first pic if you just cleaned her up and hit it with some semi gloss black under the hood i would value it around 5-6K depending on the buyer. it might also be harder to sell a gmc, but its a factory swb and big back glass so you have those options on your side.

Agree with Shane - I had a 67 that I parted out that was a big back window.
