Are these hooked up right? Top hose from heater core to water pump, bottom hose from heater core to intake?Name: IMG_0142.jpg

Re: Heater hoses??

they look right to me. Top hose coming out of heater box goes to water pump. The bottom hose out of box goes to intake.

Re: Heater hoses??

I don't really think that it matters much because all it is is a simple radiator and the water is pushed from the water pump through the heater core and then into the intake manifold.

The path for the water would go either way.

Did someone butcher your heater box? It looks like someone fiberglassed it at one time.

Just a question? At one time, wasn't there like a 3/4 hose going into one side of the heater core on some of those and a 5/8 coming out?

I can remember some of the older cars having that style of set up and it kept the people from hooking up the heater hoses backwards.

Re: Heater hoses??

What engine do you have in that truck, it looks like a old 267 V-8 intake manifold.

You'r re right about the hose sizes and not being able to hook them up different. I must have had a brain fart
The motor is a 350.
The heater box hasn't been touched, It just doesn't look good in the pic. But I should probably paint it.

Re: Heater hoses??

Monte Carlo Man, Look at the upper hose, you can see it is marked 3/4 and the lower hose does look slightly smaller.
