1971 project

here's my 71 fleetside with Porterbuilt DM and raceline 22s and 24s. It's off to my fabricator to do up the back.

The wheels are 22x8.5 with 5.25 bs. I'm not sure how much the DM narrows the track. Maybe someone will answer that for us.

What's the tire size on those, and are you running a 3" drop spindle?

255-30-22 front, 275-30-24 rear and 2.5 drop spindle. in the pic the tire will go up another 1.25" before it hits the drip rail on the fender. The tires are pretty much 28" and 30" tall.

that is one classy looking wheel, not the typical ghetto style. seems like a good fit for the body style truck

I'm with you on that. I could only find a few wheels that I liked that were plain enough. The other reason I got these was the price was much better that the others...and they do 24s.

Re: 1971 project

Should have some more pics first of next week. We have to pull the rear end and set the tires up in there to see how much we need to narrow the rear end. I bought 4" back spacing so I'm thinking we will need to cut about 3" a side. Back half should be sick...fabricator has some cool ideas.

The Mcgaughy 13" brake kit. I'm putting Wilwod calipers on though.
