I know a lot of you can probably answer this...

... I've searched here but haven't found the answer...

In the market for new carpet and just saw a place saying the carpet came "as factory" in two pieces, one from the front of the seat back to the gas tank, the other forward. Is this correct? Up til now, I've only seen the one piece molded.

btw, truck is a 72 4wd - sm465

Thanks

I've only seen the one piece molded. I also believe that the came from the factory with only the one piece molded

For the 60-66 people, check out the DesMoines Craiglist. Could not figure out how to post this. Hope this works, Chevy Truck Guy

The trucks that came with 2 piece carpets are the ones with original bucket seats. The second piece covered the gas tank. WES

Re: I know a lot of you can probably answer this...

Thanks guys,
I've contacted the place that said two piece and he said he wasn't sure if it was one or two but that he had posted it as two piece for all the GM carpets because SOME of it was two piece...

"i have no idea how many pieces came stock it will fit a high hump if you call us on the phone to tell us what you have."
Come to find out he gets it from Trim Parts, which I think may be from ACC? Anybody have input on Trim Parts?

Re: I know a lot of you can probably answer this...

I just installed a Trim Parts carpet in my GMC last week.It was the second one I've installed, both were the cut pile w/thick jute pad & fit perfect no cutting at all, suprised me.They were both one piece with binding around edge, fit from under front cardboard/insulation to 1" from back of cab.I've seen better but I've seen more a lot worse.I think I paid 123.00 or so at Whitney for them......Bob
