Finally about to begin!
Well, after months of saving I'm finally getting parts together for the next phase of my trucks life. Phase I brought two trucks together to make what it hase become. Now it will be joined back to its original frame, with all new or rebuilt components.
my new 6.0L (with intake and coil packs removed) my fresh 200-4r built for 500+hp: and custom 2500rpm stall torque convertor: Lots more parts to buy though. I plan on starting on the frame in the next day or two. I also plan on starting a build thread. I have a question though and hope someone can help. GM has had an intake in both their '09 GMPP catalog and the '10 GMPP catalog. The part number changed, but its the same part. Originally part number 19166952, its now ('10 catalog) showing number 19244037. What is it? A dual plane, LS3/L92 head, carb style intake. I'd like to buy one....if I can find someplace that has one!

Re: Finally about to begin!
Ok Kurt, I'm jealous. My work truck has a 6.0L in it and I always wondered what it would feel like in our trucks. Who built your trans? That is exactly what I wanted to do rather than the 700r4. Looks like lots of fun bro.

Re: Finally about to begin!
Thanks! Accurate Trans out of Seagoville. He has built trans for my buddies, plus he's a racer...so I know he knows how to build them right.
I should show where it started. The '68 when I got it: The '72 C-10 parts truck: building 1 "better truck" from 2 that needed help: Really looking forward to the next phase...I've wanted a carb'd LSx since I got the truck roughly 3 years ago!

Re: Finally about to begin!
Awesome!
Building an LS of my own. Not sure if it will go in my 69 GMC or not though...it might and I can sell off the built SBC 400 to help on other areas. Starting with a LQ4 6.0 bare iron block. L92 Heads 4" Eagle stroker crank 4.005" Manley Forged Pistons Scat Connecting Rods Comp Cams 54-469-11 Lunati Gold .660 lift Dual Springs Slowly getting the bits and pieces together. Been looking for the same intake you are. I have no word yet either... Maybe if you and I call every dealer we can to inquire...word might get to GMPP to start kicking these out.

Re: Finally about to begin!
Well....now I know why I can't find one of those GMPP dual plane LSX-LS3 intakes. Even though they are in the '09 GMPP catalog AND the '10 GMPP catalog...according to "Pete" at Friendly Chevrolet (who called GMPP direct for me)...they haven't been released yet!
He said they plan to release them in about a month and that at that time I should be able to put in an order. With any luck...the truck will be all together...just waiting on that intake to be laid in place and a Holley HP 750 (or 850?) carb sitting on top!
