Anybody use this?? Price wise you can get double the amount of this compared to b-quiet...Getting what you pay for?

I have some, but haven't used it yet. From what I have read on here from other members they really seem to like it.

There is another knockoff brand on ebay, I believe its called zilla mat, im sure its all pretty much the same. Does anyone know how many square feet it takes to do the cab?

When I did my truck, I used (22) sheets of Dynamat that are 18" x 32". This included the firewall, under the dash, kick panels, floor, behind the in cab gas tank, the outer door skins and under the headliner. That is approximately 2 1/2 boxes of the stuff (9 sheets per box). I bought it online and paid, with shipping $ 134.00 per box. I don't know how the other product "go down" but the Dynamat was a dream to install. I believe that works out to be 88 sq. ft. total.

When I was all complete, I went into a local shop here that sells both Dynamat and Second Skin. They told me that they are both made in the same factory and are the same product. Second Skin was 1/2 the price with them.

I went with a 100ft of b-quiet extreme off the bay...Approx the same price as the fatmat and I have heard good stuff about it...

I think you need more than 50sq ft if you are doing the floor, back walls, firewall and doors... just what i've heard though... let us know how it comes out...

it has a bunch of pre-cut stuff...is any of that any good?
Also do the 4wd manual trucks what's considered to be a big or small hump? Anybody have any experience with the stuff from classic parts?

I think all 4x4s are big hump. If I'm wrong, someone will catch it.

thanks...i can chance it i reckon...but would rather not...i'm considering picking up their mats and pads to do my floor just wouldn't want to get the wrong stuff and be short, i guess i could always go big and cut if i had to. I was just hoping someone had personal experience with this

4x4's and big block manual trucks were high humps, basically it had the removable hump vs the lower solid hump in the middle..

jjansen and Frenchblue, When you did your doors...did you do just the outer skin or did you also do the bottoms, front and back and inner door surface? I have been reading the audio sites and they would have you cover just about every square inch in the doors and double coat your door panels. Just curious since I have not purchased my material yet...still waiting on new cab mounts.

I only did my floors cause I replaced all the rust now the doors on the other hand need some rust removal..

I'm using second skin in my truck....just came in from the garage from installing it. I got 2 boxes, 80 sq ft for ~$200. Should be plenty to finish the cab. So far I have the passenger side done from the dash all the way to the back wall and over the tranny hump and I'm not on my second box yet. I"ll put some in the doors too. I don't have a head liner, so I won't have to worry about it there.

I did just the outer skins on the doors. I used strips about 6" wide x 18" high. Then I ran one strip horizontally across the top to finish the door. I think if you tried to do the inner wall of the door, it would make getting all the hardware back in pretty difficult.
