Dana 60 for Blazer???

Hey fellas, I am gathering parts for a mild/moderate trail rig. I am going to buy a K5 Blazer as my foundation.

My question is: I just picked up a Dana 60 Posi rearend for this project and it measures 65" from mounting plate to mounting plate(wheel mounting surface).
Is this about the same width as a Blazer rearend?? I wouldn't mind if it is a little wider than a Blazer rear. The inside plates are 54 1/4 " . The rear is a 4:11 posi and I will not be going over 38" tires, probably 35" tires. I already have the Dana 60 front and now my rear. I have the SM465 and 205. It will be a 383 stroker at around 300 Horsepower. just a mild fun trail rig.

So guys, will this rear axle work good for what I want to do? I only paid 100.0 for it.

It will work in a blazer for what you want to do. You will have to cut the spring pad off and relocate them because they will be to wide now.

i would unbolt the axle flange and pull the axle out and compair it to a gm corperate 14 bolt when doing so you will be convinced to run the 14 bolt and not the 60 the dana 60 rear axles have 10 16 or 30 spline rear axles the 14 bolt has a 1 9/16 diameter 30 spline rear axle far superior to the dana 60 rear axle
