Looking for 17" Wheel and Tire Specs/Pics
My 72 SWB is getting very near finished. I currently have 15" powder coated ralleye with 275 x 60 x 15 BFG's on it. I am wanting to do something a littel more rod like. I am thinking about the Cragars shown below in 17 x 8. Backspacing is 4 1/2". My drop is 3.5/5" and I would like to see some pics with 17's with tire specs. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to see/hear about them. Thanks.

Re: Looking for 17" Wheel and Tire Specs/Pics
I am running 17" american racing torque thrust II's with 4 3/4" off-set (I think) or 4 1/2". I have a similar drop 2 1/2" / 4", with disk brakes in the front and drum in the rear. Turned out pretty nice.
I have 255 50's in the front and 275 50's in the rear.

Re: Looking for 17" Wheel and Tire Specs/Pics
My truck is bagged with a c-notch. 17x8 American Racing TT-O wheels 4.5 inch backspacing, 255/50/17 front, 275/60/17 rear. In this pic it's aired up, not sure how close it is to a 3.5/5 drop, but it does have spindles and 2" blocks so it's probably pretty close (front seems kinda high).
I should mention that with how much the sidewall bulges on the rear tires, I'm having to switch to the early 67-69 rear due to the sidewall rubbing on the bed. With the 4.5" backspacing the wheel sits too far out and the sidewall rubs on the outer edge of the wheel well when it tucks. On a static drop this would most likely not be a problem.
