Gauge Bezel pix
Hey, guys. I'm at the point where I need to start building the interior of my 67. I bought the 5 gauge bezel, all black with no chrome ($8 from Brother's! Oh, yeah!) and now need to fill it with gauges. I've been looking at all the options and haven't decided what to go with; Autoguage, Equus (economy, but good reviews), shark, etc. I'm curious at to how everybody else built their's.
Anybody willing to post some pix? Thanx! I really dig these, though. http://www.egauges.com/vdo_grou.asp?Series=Silver_SLF With one question: Am I going to need to use the old metal backing plate from the original bezel? It is only set up for 3 gauges. I figure if nothing else I can fabricate something.

Re: Gauge Bezel pix
I am guessing, but it looks like he just cut the middle tin for the gauges and ran them without the factory lens. Trevor

Re: Gauge Bezel pix
The speedo and tach are 3-3/8" and are drop in. The vac gage in the center I opened the hole to fit and the 2-1/16 gages need opened some. I looked at larger speedo and tack but they go over the bezel and the rest wouldn't. They are still as big as the original instrument face. chevy71 is right I went without the gage cover lense.I went with electric since I put an MV3500 in and it has a VSS.
