my great but bad week

I spent all week working on my truck, now I had the week off of work so I spent every second on my truck.....now when I say every second I meen from monday morning till yesterday at 4:00pm I had over 100 hours in it. I was trying to get it all together so I could surprise my g/f with it all done (cause she has always loved this truck) we had my dad and stepmoms 20th anniversery party sat, nite......had my truck pretty much all ready my dad inspected it and I was doing some odds an ends and all that was left was to wash it and go pick up the little lady.........I pulled it outside to wash it and it shut off and wouldnt start...the battery was dead....so I got the starter pack and jumped it pulled over where we wash stuff and left it run... I was playing with the airbags and the sound system so I thought it was that.....washed the truck looked at the volt gauge and it was reading low, shut the truck off and tryed to start it and nothing........bad alternator.....so my truck is still sitting in the garage and now I have to go out of town this week to work so I have to wait til next friday to drive it........but atleast I know it will be waiting for me when I get home
