402 swap for 350 -bad or good idea?
I have a 402 big block and 400 transmission out of 2-wheel drive 3/4 ton GMC Sierra - truck only has 62,000 original miles. I have 3/4 ton 4-wheel drive frame that is restored. It originally came with a 350 but does not have a motor now. I want to put it back original. Should I trade for a 350 or am I better off selling the 402 and buying the 350 outright. What would you recommend is the better way to go?

Personally, you would probably be money ahead to trade for a nice 350 and a 4x4 350 turbo to put in the frame. There is quite a bit of work to get a big block in a 4x4 of our vintage. Trevor

Well.... be sure to let me know if you decide to sell the 402/400 combo.
