Re: need air bag advice
Its a solid setup... but what is it that YOU are trying to accomplish with your bags?
1. Just ride height and slamming when parked? Or... 2. Playing with the bags when your driving/parked? The 480 viar is a full duty compressor, I am running 2 to a 10 gal tank with dual port 3/4" fast bags on all 4 corners in my caddy. it gets off the ground. Do you have 1/2" bags? The kit you are looking at may be a lil overkill if you just want the first option I mentioned... But if your gonna play with it... it will be fine.

Re: need air bag advice
im running 1/2'' single part d2600 bags, i want to play with it alittle but i dont want to beat the crap outa my truck. ***************** also offers the same kit but with 3/8 valves. i was thinking running this with 3/8 lines. sould i run a bigger tank and 2 compressors or stick with the 5gal and 1 compressor?? the kit offers a 7 switch box

Re: need air bag advice
You could go 2 tanks and dual compressors, or the 7.5 gal tank and 1 compressor. You might not have room for a bigger tank if you wanna frame mount it.
Either way you will be happy!

Re: need air bag advice
imho, if your not planning to do anything crazy, the 1/2" lines are a bit large and dumps QUICK! the 3/8"s dump a bit slower and is more manageable.
but that just me.

Re: need air bag advice
i dont want to dump too quick cuz i dont want to beat the truck, im goint ot mount the tank, compressor and valves in the front of the bed, when i monster notch the frame after a while i will need to cut the flooor so i will put a sock wood floor in over the notch so it looks like a raised floor to cover it?

Re: need air bag advice
3/8 lines should be best they go down quick but not to quick it really doesnt beat up the truck at all only if your droppin it on the pavement when your driving but yeah that is a good kit
heres another idea for wood bed.... |

Re: need air bag advice
thats a clean set up!! i plan on keeping the steel floor but just cutting out ware the monster notch comes up, then i will just put in a wood floor at the level of the top of the notch, that way i can keep my tank and compressors and relocated battery hidden in the front section and when i drop the tail gate have a hidden spot for the spare tire and a few other things.
