Angry Drop spring trac bar?!?!

Just put 5 inch drop springs on my 65 (which appears to actually be a 64 since the trac-bar length is 27 inches) now my 17 inch tires rub on my drivers side finder!!! it appears the trac-bar is not long enough (one would think Chevy would have designed a rear-end that stayed CENTERED when is moves up and down!!!!) so I tried to order an adjustable trac-bar. It appears only 2 places have a resonable priced bar ($50-60), CCP and Performance Only. BOTH places tell me that it will take a WEEK to PROCESS my order-this was BEFORE I told them what I wanted...It appears they both have stacks of orders they have not processed...

One would think in such a bad economy that when someone orders a part that business would scramble to process order and get money in bank...apparently not true. Much better to put customer on ignore for a week and send him away to another company...I have never had this problem with Chevy Duty (classic parts of America)...

But I Digress....

Where can I order an adjustable 27 inch trac bar that I can have shipped ground, from California preferably (since I am in California), that will leave next day????

Sorry about my ranting, it gets frustrating being on hold for 20 minutes, at more than one place, just so guy can tell you he can't help you ....

Re: Drop spring trac bar?!?!

I called Jeff at CPP personally for a few orders and he moves fast. Did you speak directly to him?

Re: Drop spring trac bar?!?!

I had to wait on hold for quite some time to speak to anyone...Was not aware of Jeff. The parts order person simply said this was the fastest it could be processed...

Jeff's personal number is on the site here. You can find it in the for sale section when you click on vendors. He has a few advertisements there. I've had some difficulties talking to the general sales staff there but when you deal with Jeff its an entirely different ball game! Make sure to mention you are from the forum.

Re: Drop spring trac bar?!?!

Try Early Classic in Fresno. I've ordered all my suspension parts from them including their super track bar. My orders have always arrived within 2 or 3 days.

Re: Drop spring trac bar?!?!

WoW, we have a direct line into CPP now, wish I would have known about that a long time ago! I love CPP products, but the customer service sucks! Thanks for the tip on Jeff.
