gas pedal linkage - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Whats everybody using for gas pedal linkage. I bought a v8 conversion linkage that is for 1953-59 chevy truck but its not even close. I have a 58 cab with a 350 small block and a 4 barrel carb.

I've used and will continue to use the stock V-8 linkage, simple lever and rod. Some guys use mid 70's truck pedal assemblies, they use a pull cable, pedal assy bolts to the firewall from inside. I prefer the rod so if for some reason both return springs fail I can put my toe under the rod and push the throttle closed, hard to do with a tension cable or Toyotas.

Often when you buy the kit new it is assembled the wrong way. Very confusing. Take it apart & you might be able to see how it goes. If not someone might post a photo of it. They have always worked good for me.
