Widest front tire with no mods - 315?

I recall reading a thread where the discussion pertained to the widest tire on the front, does anyone recall the link or know how wide you can go on the front. I was sure someone had a 315 on the front with no mods.

Thanks,

JE

JE... it's really going to depend on the wheel and it's specific BS. Do you have any additional info?

Re: Widest front tire with no mods - 315?

I guess I was looking at it the other way because I need new wheels and tires so I was going to find the widest wheel I could fit under there and of course have the correct backspacing.

But oh yea, I see your point...I want them inside the wheel well...I don't want any rubbing issues because of cornering, braking, or lowering.....

Thanks!

Jon

I do see where you are coming from as well, I guess I looked at it from the point of... if I wanted to mount any tire up front without modification, then I would be able to afford a one-off custom wheel.

The dia. of the wheel will also hinder the size of tire you are able to choose from too.

I'm just curious what all you have planned...

Re: Widest front tire with no mods - 315?

I'd like the truck to handle as well as possible without major mods and I know the wider the tires the better it will handle, especially since I will be placing a wide tire in the back. If you go to wide in the back and skinnier in the front, the truck will push through a turn....at least at a basic tuning level.
