Doors?
What is the difference between the Chevy C-10 1968 doors & the 1972 Cheyenne doors? Have a chance to get some real nice 68 doors & was looking at different sites to check compatibility, & everywhere I look it has the 1972 listed with a different part number? Thank you advance for your help.

Re: Doors?
I don't know the answer to your question but felt I had to chime in to say, whatever you do, don't get repops. Try to find good originals. I lost over $700 and many hrs trying to fit crap repops. In the end I had to toss them and find a set of originals. They fit like a glove.

Re: Doors?
metalfab, I think it's just a screw hole for a screw to help hold the vent window in place. The hole is right below the vent latch. This is 72 only .http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=165481 Bruce

Re: Doors?
as far as i know what they said above is correct. my 68 has a 72 door on the driver's side- only reason I know is because it has the vent window screw.

Re: Doors?
I feel your Pain! I'm building a 72 BB, LB, Fleet into a street rod and avoided the Repro stuff as much as I could. Ebay can be your friend. I bought two California doors that will save me hours of prep for painting. I like Greyhound for shipping as they have no Gorilla's doing the handling! lol Good Luck, Al W.
BTW, 72 only has the screw hole by the Vent window. Last edited by 67vetteal; 04-06-2010 at 09:22 PM. |

Re: Doors?
I understand the difference is in the mounting of the trim pad, but can still be used. I have read posts before that the repo doors don't fit good. Fenders you can get by with.
