Anyone done this to a suburban?
I've always liked these model years suburban, hope to have one someday.
But I've always thought the taillights were an after thought. Has anyone ever grafted the taillights off a pickup onto a suburban? It would be some work molding body lines around and across the doors...but man it would look so cool I think. Any suburbans come with flip down tailgate or were they all clamshell type doors? Kind of like a blazer rearend. Thanks.

Re: Anyone done this to a suburban?
i think they look fine and i like that they are different from the pickup and blazer. they fit the body lines just fine. i don't see any sane reason to change them, but then again i'm not a big fan of body mods on a vintage vehicle (hack up a dime a dozen late model hyundai if you must ruin something). it is strange that they went with the pickup tails on the blazer when it is more like the suburban in form and function.

I agree with capev86 100%
When I say it, I always say you should do somthing like that to a Toyota, not a Classic American Car or Truck. |

Re: Anyone done this to a suburban?
These trucks are parted out, crushed, hacked up, and wrecked on a daily basis.
I think the modification looks awesome. It starts at about post 220: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...uburban&page=9 Modifying ANY toyota or honda is a compete waste of time, period

As for the truck taillight mod, I like the unique look it lends to the Suburban and admire the workmanship it took to get there. I wouldn't do it to my vehicle though because it would be my luck to get it rear ended and have someone ruin all that hard work.
