Bed cover dead in the wind
ok i'm a dumb a$$.--5:30 am still dark i hook up the 1/2 ton crew cab to my 03 1 ton crewcab w/ a wheel lift. i needed to get it to the trim shop to get some molding replaced. made sure the bed cap was locked and away i go. about 3 miles from home i was on the bypass and felt a thump, i pulled over but could not see anything wrong. i stop at the coffee shop for a while (catch up on all the bs) by then it is light outside. i leave there and go to the trim shop. when i lowered my truck down that is when i noticed my !@#$%^&**((()( gaylords bed cap is GONE. i then left the trim shop and went back to where i felt the thump on the 4-lane and there is my bed cap. it landed paint side up on the center line. BAD NEWS, i think every 18 wheeler in town ran over it, i just pulled it to the side of the road and left it there. GOOD NEWS , when the cap flew off it did not do any damage to the truck. now i need a new cap. here is pics of my old cap

Dang! Sorry to hear about your loss. Hopefully you can get a new one soon enough. I love how that cover looked on there.
No pun intended there huh Bob?

Re: Bed cover dead in the wind
Yo! Sucks,...blows,...
Simply a bummer! I do agree that that tonneau cover looks beautiful, and is quite functional in many ways! I'd like to have one on my truck too, but FRANKENTRUCK just doesn't take to cosmetic stuff as well as other trucks,... I think it's autistic! Glad your truck is OK! Todd.

Re: Bed cover dead in the wind
Sorry bout yer luck. Your truck is one of my favorites on this site. I drive for a towing company and we are not allowed to tow any truck backwards if it has a canopy or a topper. It used to be drivers discretion (depending on speed and distance of the tow) but guys kept having toppers fly off, so now its front end up only..
