Fuel Tank Straps

It might sound stupid, but you never know. I have a 85 Chevy Silverado with dual tanks. The fuel tank straps have rusted out on the mounting end. I think I know where they go but I am not sure. It looks like they go on the tank mounts but mine are so rusted up I cannot tell.

Re: Fuel Tank Straps

the mounting end goes through the tank mounting bracket.

if you look at your frame there is an oversized hole that allows for the nut on the mounting end of the strap to be adjusted through the frame
