Hi
I have a 1969 chevy 4x4 stepside short bed with a 307ci motor. I am converting to power steering. The air pump is removed and alt is on the left side . Were do I mount the pump? If I mount under the alt it hits the alt bracket. Thanks |

Under the alt is the correct factory spot. I don't have a picture, but I am sure someone on here can post a picture for you.

Re: bebesjoys
The alternator and power steering pump on my '71 C-10 are both mounted on the driver's side of the engine, I have a 350. I should say I did have a 350, now it is a 454. On the 454 the alternator is on the passenger side and the power steering pump in on the driver's side.
I have no pictures, but the power steering pump was under the alternator on the 350. Danny
