the 69'er

Well I tore into the 69 shortie this weekend. The truck had been in a wreck in the past and someone had tried to cut the front section out and welded a new front on it and did a real piss pour job. Luckily I found a nice 69 frame right down the road cheap. It was out of a stick shift truck with no front cradle so I spent the whole weekend tearing down both and swapping parts. Think Ill sandblast and paint this weekend

LMAO bein a hillbilly ant so bad

thanks a lot. I have the inner fenders and core support down at the powder coater, and other than that I'm a little undecided bout what to do with the motor. Think Ill just go with some vortec heads and a decent cam for now???

Re: the 69'er

well im not concerned about being a hillbilly. The guy across the street has a 67 camaro that he just got done with and a guy kiddy corner from me has a mustang thats got a vortech supercharger on it so my ol 67 looks kind of dummpy in the neighorhood... And when i get to that point im just gonna grab a crate motor...

Re: the 69'er

Well Ive been collecting parts for a while now and Im ready to start goin at this bad boy again Ive got the original 350 rebuilt with a mild cam and some vortec heads, I found a smokin deal on a new gm 700r4, Ive also got some drop spindles and a buddy hooked me up with some front disc brakes. This weekend I pulled the cab off the parts truck and have er ready for sandblast. Looks like Ill need a cab corner on the passenger side and rockers for both.

Re: the 69'er

well i decided to put in a c notch. I dont know if Ill go low enough to need it but I figured while I was this far tore down I may as well do it. I still have to box in the back of the frame rails and find some bump stops, any suggestions would help.
