Who makes the longest lasting 235 75R15 tire?
Like the title says, who makes one that lasts the longest and I don't necessarily mean with the best warranty. I'm talking real world experience with longevity. This is actually going on my daily driven '94 Suburban work truck but the question applies to any 1/2 ton truck. I'm interested in finding out if only the higher mileage warrantied tires will last or if there might be some without the big warranty that will do just as well.
I wonder ahead of time if I'll get fifty responses and fifty different answers or if one or two might come out a clear winner.

A LT 235/75/15 tire will out last a P 235/75/15 tire. Most LT tires also will have 4/32 more tread than a P series tire. Manufacture is up to you.

remember the tire that has a long life normally is a very hard tire normally which equates into poor traction in wet weather conditions...just a thought....

I've got a set of 235/75/R15 Dayton Timberline A/Ts on my DD. Been going strong since July of '05. I'm more worried about their age now than the remaining tread (which is actually quite a bit)

As to long tread life, Michelins are usually among the longer-lasting tires. I'm not aware of any cheaper tires that will come close.

In that case, Michelin gets my vote, hands down. Actually, they're not at all bad in rain either... it's just that there are better tires for those in wetter climates.

My Z71 has BFG Longrtrial TAs on it, they have 23K on them and they still have more than half their tread left.
The truck had a set of Uniroyal Tires (can't remember which type) that I put almost 50K on. I also have BFG's on the 67 and they seem to be holding up very well too, and ride nice.

Dad put some Delta Fortune P235/75R15 105S M&S tires on the truck about 4 years ago, probably got them from Costco, he loves that place. I bought the truck 2 years ago and I can't wear them out.

Re: Who makes the longest lasting 235 75R15 tire?
No kidding. My S10, which is a very light truck at only 3,100lbs, came with cheapie tires when I bought it. They were fairly new when I got the truck and only 18K later they hum like a SOB and are only maybe 5K from being bald.

Re: Who makes the longest lasting 235 75R15 tire?
I really like the Toyo tires, I've run a couple sets of their Open Country series past 60,000 miles. I prefer the LT tires too, they ride a little stiffer but perform much better that P tires.
