future shop truck

here is a future shop truck, ill let killer 71 fill ya'll in on future plans....
the truck was better then i expected....i knew very little about it before i bought it, but took a risk (only saw little cell phone pics of it, no real descriptions), and it paid off
it is a factory 68 short step bed, has the cab corners, rockers, and hood replaced... the gas tank filler port in the cab welded up, and the cowl panel has the antenna hole filled as well.....the interior is outta a newer truck, with a center console, and a uncut dash......
the body is in great shape, other then one big dent on the dr. rear fender, and a some rust on the pass side door (the rear lower part of the pass front fender has grease on it in the pics, not damage)
the engine is out of a early/mid 90s chevy truck with TBI, and same with the transmission too (700r4).....
there is also a good door in the bed of the truck...and looking from the underside, it still has the orignal wood bed
not to bad for 1500$

Re: future shop truck

looks to me like you need to trade me HOODS... and we can call in even, now that mine is hand painted by my daughter... I think she would gladly paint another cowl hood....

Shop trucks needs stock parts....

I paid $3000 for mine and it needs a new cab, but has everything else...... power everything & AC.. not that I used them, but it was a nice selling point when I bought it... It ran strong with a OEM 327, but I tore into it anyways.... like a fool....

good looking truck, I hope you enjoy it and make it a family affair, they will love you for it later.

Scott

"Uh hello Early Classic Enterprises, this is 68 Short Step. I need to order one of your 4/6 drop kits for my truck. My credit card number is......"

All kidding aside though, you need to swap master cylinders and proportioning valves. I see the truck is 5 lug so it has disc brakes in the front, but that's still the drum brake stuff up on the firewall.

Re: future shop truck

it'll be gone through, but retain that 'worn' look....also it'll have a little something for the inline crowd as well, with the 68 short step touch to it....after further review, it'll need front and rear cab supports (not to bad, but still wanna replace tho) and very lowest part of kick pnl needs replaced as well...
