Bags vs coils -
What do you guys think? I hear that bags are nice if you have to tow stuff, or carry heavy loads, but they are not so great for cornering. Personally, I prefer the conventional setup. They ride pretty good and are relatively uncomplicated compared to bags.

Re: Bags vs coils -
Bags are adjustable....coils are not. 'Nuff said.
Truth be known- I think you may be confusing "helper bags" that are used in conjuction with stock coils or leafs for hauling heavy loads with a full-on Air ride suspension system. With the latter you will improve your road holding ability, given that you can "tune" the bag pressure to provide both the best traction and reduce roll in the twisties. Combine this with a lower a center of gravity, good sway bars and shocks- and you get a setup that is hard to beat, except with maybe a Vette or Jag IRS swap. Of course cost is a substantial down-side to bags, but they are really no more "complicated" than a stock coil or leaf spring setup, save the plumbing and electrical connections.

Re: Bags vs coils -
I went with bags for the adjustability and, as far as handling goes, with a quick-ratio steering box and the air bag suspension, my truck handles like a sports car.

Re: Bags vs coils -
If you have air bags all the way around you have the best of both worlds handling and stance..
