It's almost time....
Lifted the skirt for a quick peek this week. Guess I should get the insurance out, now that it is starting to warm up.
Seen some nice machines out today. 56 Ford PU, 50'ish GMC PU and a 56 Chevy car. Sigh. |

Re: It's almost time....
I hear you.
I've taken my truck out on a few nice days. But mainly for testing and tuning. Each drive it gets better and better. |

Re: It's almost time....
Yeah, I have been getting the bug. But for now it is still on the jackstands behind the garage. Want to rebuild the carb and do a couple of odds and ends before it comes out. Would like to be on the road in a couple of weeks.

Re: It's almost time....
That's so funny you posted that. I just dug mine out yesterday. Went from under the deck to the garage. Looks like the field mice had a winter home. Took a real good look and no wires or anything eaten. Just mice poop. Next year I will put something around the truck to head them off. It's in the garage now and quite dirty. Notice the last pic? Look familiar? That's right......it's getting the summer "charge". Think I'm gunna roll it down the road tomorrow. Can't wait!!!!!!!

Re: It's almost time....
Sure, rub it in.
Hopefully no mice got into mine. Haven't seen any signs, but then again, we have a few cats around here. Raining today, could be time to pull the carb. |

Re: It's almost time....
I also just picked up the flyer our local speed shop carries that has all the cruise ins. Central Oregon is quite cool for just how many we have given a somewhat small overall population. I am plotting out the summer to decide just how many I am going to grace with my presences!!! LOL

Have you tried using the "Bounce" brand dryer sheets? I have been putting them in my vehicles the last couple of years and haven't seen any signs of mice in them. The nice thing about it is that they smell nice when you open them up too... I also lay some on the engine. LockDoc

Re: It's almost time....
Hmm, that is a good idea. Could probably use a freshening up. Could use a good bath and wax too.
