Rear End Gear Options for 70-72 LWB
I'm looking at robbing a rear end from 70-72 parts truck that's sitting down in the field for years for a 5 lug, disk/power brake swap and was wondering if anyone has any info on what these trucks could have came with from the factory.
The dash is out of the truck so i can't find any of the codes, but from what I know, it's a 70-72, LWB, with 350, Auto with a factory looking hitch on the truck. Just wondering what my range of rear end gear could be and the possiblity of this thing not having a peg leg. Thanks! |

Re: Rear End Gear Options for 70-72 LWB
A 70-72 c-10 with 350/350 would have been 3:07.1 ratio unless ordered with a different ratio. Alot more peg legs were sold than posi"s. Have to pull the cover to check either for sure.

Re: Rear End Gear Options for 70-72 LWB
If it is a 5 lug truck originally it would have been 71-72. 70 models were 6 lug. Only way to know for sure what gear it is would be to pull the cover.
