My old beater went from ugly beater to cool *****in in three hours and a six pac!

I decided to do the paint in satin red, like a primer red. Blacked out the center of the hood, and repainted the roof to shiny white like it was. I also did the wheels in cherry red glo9ss and shined up the beauty rings and center caps.

Hey don't take it seriously. I was just giving you some grief. The "before" pic looks pretty good. The "after" pic makes it look like it has a leaf pattern.

Regardless it is an improvement. Just think what you could have done with a 12 pack.

Looks good!! When I read that part about painting the wheels I was like ugghh but with the beauty rings and center caps it looks good. Amazing what a little paint and time can do.

The wheels are actually different, they are off of a 1991 Dodge 3/4 ton, and they were old looking silver centers with the beauty rings and caps all dirty when I bought them for $50.00. But after paint and cleaning they look great. Ill take another pic this weekend. That cell pic looks like crap.

I've never been a fan of rattle-can paint jobs, especially over rust/bumps/dents/etc. I guess it's because I grew up in a body shop, but I just cringe when I see somebody try to cover the warts. I'd rather just see the warts.

I.e., there's nothing wrong with a pig... until you put lipstick on it.
