triplus floor pan question

im wondering if anybody has ever mic'd a triplus pan to see how thick the metal is. the reason i ask is because i bought goodmark pand and the are only .037 thick and if the triplus are thicker im taking my goodmark back and buying triplus ones so if any body has a triplus pan the have not installed yet and could mic it for me i would be greatly appriciated

Re: triplus floor pan question

i didnt mic mine but my tri plus one peice floor was well worth the money. mine was thicker than the original metal. i have noticed that the tri plus parts are heavier than the ones i get from empire.

Re: triplus floor pan question

yeah all the triplus stuff ive bought so far has been very thick compared to everthing else ive looked at, heck the goodmark rockers i bought mic'd at .029 and the triplus rockers i just bought to replace the goodmark ones mic at .045 much thicker. not to mention the quality of the stamping is second to none all the lines are very crisp just like oem and the goodmark are kinda sloopy and not finished well

Re: triplus floor pan question

Tri Plus parts are supposed to be 19 ga or thicker depending on where its measured which is just at .042 (.0418), .029 (.0299) is 22 ga. , .037 (.0359) is 20 ga. The difference is weight is a half pound per square foot between 19 and 22 ga so its a big difference on a floor pan.
