Vin #'s Locations 1967-72
Where are the locations for vin #'s on 1967-72 trucks? I have one on the door, but have heard about one on the frame. Where on the frame?

Re: Vin #'s Locations 1967-72
I believe it's on the front driver side frame, right where it crests over the axle. That's where it is on my 70 Blazer. haven't been able to locate the one on my 70 suburban though, so not sure if that is universal.
Other than that and the door, there's the glovebox SPID sticker. Some say there may be another one on the passenger side of the frame, but that might be on the newer trucks.

Re: Vin #'s Locations 1967-72
drivers side frame rail like the photos above (I posted that one pointing to the vin 6 or more years ago and seems everyone pirated... then on the same frame rail under the cab on top of the C channel. then there was a sticker in the jamb on the drivers side door, the SPID in the glove box, and the rivited plate on the cab in the drivers door jamb.
Not all frames got stamped, and most doors lost the sticker in a repaint. |
