Valve cover clearance? 454

I was just looking around on the web at different styles of valvcovers and I was just wondering if anyone has had issues with clearance from the firewall? My engine is bone stock in the stock location and the truck is an 87 halfton, Ive got the 454 in the truck now with the stock short plain covers but i'd like to throw on some tall chrome ones such as these:

just thought I should find out what to look for when i start hitting the swap meets this summer! thanks

I had tall aluminum ones on my 84, was originally a 305 with air, fit fine. These trucks came factory with big blocks, so in less you have crazy huge v/c's they will fit.

Most any valve covers should work in these trucks. They really aren't cramped at all with a bb in them. Those you linked will definitely fit. I have a set laying in my kitchen (I'm single) and they really aren't very tall.

I have been wondering this also. Mine has the harness plug for the dual tanks sticking through the firewall, right behind the DS cover.

Okay thanks for the help! I'm gonna see whats out there at some meets, BBC covers are usually a dime a dozen for the generic chrome ones, If not i was just gonna order some GMPP from the dealer but they get a bit pricey
