R.I.P Buddy Buckets
I went to the local salvage yard yesterday and came across a 68 that had about 4 other cars stacked on top of it. Took a peak inside just out of curiosity and it had a nice set of buddy buckets in it, with good foam and only a few tears from the material being brittle. There was no way to get them out with the other cars stacked on top. It crushed the cab down onto the seats and it was just too dangerous. I told the guy he had a set of $300-$400 dollar seats sitting there and his response was "That thing has been here for months and nobody has offered to pay that for them yet."

At my junker yard, a 5 dollar bill can get a bit of work out of the forklift operator. Otherwise he will completely leave your car till last.

Re: R.I.P Buddy Buckets
That sucks, but you can't save them all. However, I would think he would be willing to pull them out for you for not much money.

I'll have to go back next week if I get time and see what they want for them.

I look at these guys like I'm at an old west shoot out. I never get excited in front of them when you find a score. Always low ball. Never flinch. And know when to walk away.

"What R ya,Crazy?"
Never tell a salovage guy his stuff is worth X.Always make him quote you a price. You could probably have bought those seats for $40-50 and now he will want 300+ for them.
