Re: Trans-dapt ls1 swap plates
Mike,
Will this adaptor kit work for a 350 into a 1961 apache? Currently has a 235 straight 6. Mechanics I talk to keep telling me it will be challenging, aka a lot of adaptations, to put 350 but I think this kit will take care of that, will it? Thanks |

Re: Trans-dapt ls1 swap plates
Well not having done it myself in a 61 I can't say for sure. I can ask some of my Buds that have more experience with that.

Re: Trans-dapt ls1 swap plates
i think these adapters are for if you are changing from a small block chevy to a ls 1 engine the ls engine has 4 mounting holes while the small block has 3 this allows you to bolt the plate to the ls motor then use small block motor mounts

Re: Trans-dapt ls1 swap plates
Greene,
Thanks...I was wondering was is an "ls" motor anyway? So what you are saying is that when these are in place you use the motor mounts for the SB 350 on top of them right? I just want these mechanics to quit quoting me crazy prices to do an install of this motor due to "all the motifications" they will have to do to make it fit. Thanks again... |
