Re: windshield wipers
One speed or two speed wiper,, Soft rubber blades will do a better job, synthetic rubber will last longer but less desirable of a job, only alternative if you have a single speed is find a two speed replacement ot call http://www.newportwipers.com/

Re: windshield wipers
Those need to be set so that they are flush with the bottom rubber when they are parked. They are going too far off the wraparound glass at full extension.

Re: windshield wipers
I agree....I didn't even notice that....was looking at the rest of the truck. That would drive me nuts driving with them like that. Pull those arms back off and rotate them down against the lower rubber like K-TEN said. That might help some.

Re: windshield wipers
The spring tension inside the wiper arm is critical, so pull the arm off the stem and fold the cover back slightly to see if the spring is in tension. If not, pull it out and replace with a good donor. If so, try clocking the arms approximately 3-5 degress above horizontal, per the shop manual, for optimum performance. A good set of 13" replacement blades will also help the cause.

Re: windshield wipers
are the wipers suppose to go to the down position when turning the switch off? mine just stops wherever they are when you turn the switch off.

Re: windshield wipers
Yes they are supposed to stop in the same 'park' position each time when turned off. That is unless you turn the ignition switch off before they have a chance to. You may have a bad wiper switch or motor

Re: windshield wipers
As noted in the following thread it could also be a ground problem:

Re: windshield wipers
Delay Wipers...
Found this: This page is all about delay wiper systems and how to retrofit them to your vehicle. This may not seem like a big deal to many people, but where I live it doesn't rain as much as you get a heavy fog. It's just enough to need to run the wipers ever few seconds. Leaving the wipers on low without sufficient water on the windshield results in running the wiper blades across a pretty dry windshield - and that leads to annoying squeaks on every swipe of the blades and excessive wear and tear on the wiper system. The squeaks alone will drive you nuts, and pumping the wiper switch on and then off again every few seconds gets old real fast. http://www.rowand.net/Shop/Tech/DelayWipers.htm
