Center Vent screws
Does anyone know where I can find these? These are the ones that go into the center ac vent and into the ac vent housing behind it.
I just ordered a replacement vent, alas no screws Thanks! |

If I remember correctly those are chrome head trim screws. You should be able to get them at an upholstery shop, body shop, or NAPA.... LockDoc

Re: Center Vent screws
It looks as though these has a bolt on the end of them, not a screw. Looks like the center vent connects to the black AC part through the holes and has bolts on the back???
Maybe I am confused. |

Re: Center Vent screws
I think you could rig something up with all-thread and nyloc nuts. It looks approximately like this ---------+--- The + symbol represents the nyloc nut and the dashes are a piece of all-thread. The longer section threads into your center vent, insert from front of dash, place the plastic duct adapter over the studs from behind the dash, then install some regular nuts to secure it all together. Not sure if that makes sense or not. It looks basically like a bolt with the head moved down an inch or so. If I remember correctly, it is 1/4" thread.

Re: Center Vent screws
Your not confused, your exactlly right. I just replaced mine, it didnt come with studs I had to remove and use the originals. You can easily use 1/4" all thread and carefully screw it into your new ac vent and install into dash through the ac duct and install nuts to tighten down.
