is this on right? carb?
1964 with a 292. This does not look right, can't adjust the idle. The piece that screws to the back of the carb. It looks like the choke cable is hitting it.

I just did a swap for a reman carb on mine. I believe the tab for the choke cable was oriented differently...like your's is upside-down. You might try that first.

Finally had a look at mine between rain storms. It's close to being right.
The top part of the lever that is touching the choke cable needs to be on the back side of the choke arm. Easy fix. Un-screwit move it to back side. Then you'll see the bottom part of the lever come in contact with the idle screw. |
