seat belts?
does anyone know where to find a replacement retractable lap belt for a for my 72? i want a blue one but the stock blue "powder blue" (pic, the rolled up one) is to soft of a blue, i want a "bright blue" (pic of the 3 point) but it only comes in a 3 point. and neither of them look like the stock ones with the push button and the GM logo in the middle. do they even make repos of those? anyone know my options? i want a "bright blue" belt with the original push button connector.

Re: seat belts?
You can have a restoration shop like Snakeoyl who restore seat belts. Sorry, there are no reproductions of colored belts like this. You could contact Gary Terry at Cheyenne SuperMan website to get replacement belts that are made to duplicate are belts. For maximum results, I recommend finding good original blue belts. Trevor

Re: seat belts?
From Snakeoyl, you are probably talking $400-500 atleast for your complete set, but that's new seat belt webbing, redying of your buckles, and so on. You can normally find a button at a junkyard or on this site. Trevor

Re: seat belts?
keep in mind most 40year old seat belts are just cosmetic accessories not really safety devices anymore.. every form of racing, planes, boats, cars and trucks has expiration dates on safety belts the norm being in the 3year range
if you feel your body aint worth spending the money on good stuff get a can of spray dye for a few bucks

Re: seat belts?
We sell the material in bulk if you want to sew your own. This is the closet blue we know of however. If you don't have the tools to do it. cut the length you need and tape it up and take it to someone who does leather work. Ones that have a machine. No reason to pay 400 to 500 $$
