installing CPP c notch and need help
I am installing CPP c notch on my 68 burb. What I need help with is finding the best way to get the air fittings from the bag through the frame, notch and the stupid crossmember that is in the way. The cross member is the one that the shocks mount up to. I have drilled and clearenced the c notch for the fitting to clear and I can do the same on the frame but.... thats a pain and the xmember will still be in the way.
Any ideas? What have you guys done? Should I remove and move the xmember for the shocks? Let me know what you guys think, and pics of your ideas. Thanks in advance Juan

Re: installing CPP c notch and need help
just drill through all of it... you drill through the notch, through the frame and through the crossmember. Its like 3/4" of steel.
If you dont want to do that, you can build a top cup with a center bolt that bolts through it all and the air fitting goes inside the cup. |

Re: installing CPP c notch and need help
The step bit,... or uni-bits work good.
I think I had to use a 7/8" bit to clean up the hole after I used the uni-bit.

Re: installing CPP c notch and need help
I used the step bit on the notch. I still had to file to get it just right. I was just wondering if any tricks or secrets were out there. I'll just quit whinning and just do it. Lol
