Does anyone have any experience with this system? How does it compare to others such as Harbor Freight?

They look like the same guns to me. They just have subtle differences like the stickers. You should get the same results. I'm sorry I have never used this gun before I use the Hotcoat gun. I like my Hotcoat gun very much, but have heard good reviews to the Chicago electric. I have posted two pictures.

I have the one from Eastwood and LOVE it, have used it plenty without a problem

I have the Chicago Electric gun and like it very much. I think they are all about the same between the Northern tool, Eastwood, and Harbor Freight. Just slightly different in appearance. They are all hobby guns, you won't get professional results, but they work very well. I have some pics posted if you do a search for Powder coated my first part today. I am very happy with the ease of use, and quality.

I have put at least 50 lbs of powder through my HF gun, and it appears to be the same basic gun Northern is selling. I am planning on getting a better bun in the next year $2000, and will still keep the Harbor Freight one for clear coating, probably.

I have the harbor freight version and my dad has the Eastwood one.

I have used both. It may be settings, but my Harbor freight uses FAR less powder, and makes MUCH less mess.

Last time my dad visited I was going to get him to try it, and see if he agreed, but didn't get the chance.

Have you guys powdercoated any wheels? If so, how did they turn out? I'm interested in this kit later on but the main thing I would like to coat is my 15x8 rally's in a close to factory silver color. Right now they're coated in some silver spraypaint with clear.

I did a set for a friend's stock car, and he ran with them all last season. Thoought they turned out fine, except one that I didn't get cleaned up well enough in the blasting cabinet, but that was my fault.

I did mine and they turned out fine...They will fit in a household type oven, but don't use one that you also cook in.
